I figured it out (I think).

I have a Chitika Premium block in my sidebar. As you (may or may not?) know, the premium ads don't always display - according to Chitika they are behavior based.

Well, it seems that whenever the premium block displays, it somehow changes the RPU to a premium ad as well.

If I just click on view post from the manage posts area, I don't get a premium ad, and the RPU displays like it should.

If I do a Google search for my site and click on a link from the search results, I generally get a premium ad, and the RPU magically changes into a premium ad as well.If I do a display source on the page, I see the RPU channel in the ad block, but that's not what displays.

I doubt this has anything to do with your plugin. It seems to be a Chitika issue.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Walt!

I haven't tried the plugin on wp 2.5.1 so can't really say what could be the problem. Are you based in a non-supported country where they don't serve RPU ads and instead show a placeholder eminimall ad? I am from a non-supported country and haven't setup an alternate url so I just get a blank space. I also checked the Get Code drop down and Chitika RPU is really missing from there.

Hi. I downloaded the plugin and tried it out on a WP 2.5.1 blog. It works OK, but the "box" looks just like a mini-malls box. Is that normal? I went to Chitika to look at the basic options for an RPU unit so I could compare it to what your plugin produced, and saw that the RPU units are no longer in the "get code" dopdown. Elsewhere it says "new, improved version coming soon". Is that whty it doesn't *look* like an RPU?

This is a little over my head, but with this post I am GOING to figure this out. My reason is to isolate the different topics I talk about-Adsense is KILLING me with mismatched ads. So thanks!

Nifty trick. I'd like to see if it works for others, as it's been reported that Bluehost won't support the needed Apache edit. maybe it's there already?

Yes, ofcourse. It is just a widget to automate the insertion of RPU code in your wordpress blog. After all not everyone knows how to tamper with the template files.

Moreover, this widget is not any kind of a hack on the Chitika code. It only makes use of all the options provided by Chitika to customize the RPU.
